ANHVL Invests ₹2,200 Cr to Expand Beds to 2,500 in East

Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Ltd has announced a capital allocation of Rs 2,200 crore. Consequently, the comprehensive ANHVL hospital expansion will scale total bed strength across Eastern India from 700 to 2,500 beds over the next four to five years. Furthermore, this strategic move will significantly enhance specialized maternal, neonatal, and multispeciality care delivery in underserved corridors.
Strategic ANHVL Hospital Expansion and Regional Growth
Currently, ANHVL operates four healthcare facilities in West Bengal. However, rapid urban growth has created strong clinical demand for super-specialised services. Therefore, the group plans to add nearly 1,800 new beds across key regional hubs. Managing Director Parthiv Neotia highlighted that these facilities will reduce travel burdens for local families. In addition, the organization seeks to bring advanced clinical expertise directly into emerging districts, supported by continuous learning through general practice training.
Dedicated Women and Child Healthcare Facilities
As part of this initiative, the group is committing Rs 150 crore to build a specialized 120-bed hospital in Howrah. This new center will operate under the flagship Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre network. Moreover, project leaders expect the Howrah facility to become operational by April 2029. Meanwhile, the network will launch a dedicated mother and child facility in Raipur later this year. Additionally, ANHVL has partnered with Amit Metaliks to construct a maternal hospital in Durgapur, where Amit Metaliks provides infrastructure while ANHVL manages clinical operations, drawing on expertise often refined through programs like the Certification Course In Obstetric Anesthesia.
Multispeciality Network and Asset-Light Approach
To drive capital efficiency, the corporate healthcare entity is adopting an asset-light model across several project sites. Furthermore, ANHVL is constructing multispeciality hospitals in Guwahati, Taratala, and New Town in Kolkata. In particular, these facilities will broaden access to complex surgical and intensive care treatments. Consequently, medical practitioners across Eastern India will see expanded clinical infrastructure, modern diagnostic capabilities, and stronger referral pathways.
