AHH Opens ₹100 Cr Renal Care Hospital in Bhubaneswar

Asia Healthcare Holdings has committed ₹100 crore for its strategic expansion into Odisha. As part of this plan, the group launched a new uro-nephrology hospital in Bhubaneswar under the AINU network.
Addressing Rising Renal Disease Burden in Odisha
Chronic kidney disease poses an escalating challenge across India. Consequently, regional epidemiological data highlight a pressing need for specialized nephrology infrastructure. Specifically, findings from the ICMR-INDIAB study revealed that impaired kidney function affects 3.2% of adults nationally. Moreover, Odisha ranks among the states reporting a kidney disease prevalence of 6% or higher. Therefore, establishing comprehensive tertiary care facilities remains vital to curb end-stage renal disease.
Advanced Facilities at the New uro-nephrology hospital
The Bhubaneswar center provides comprehensive diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic medical services. In addition, the facility delivers end-to-end management for nephrology, urology, uro-oncology, and renal transplantation. Patients also gain access to pediatric urology, andrology, reconstructive surgery, and chronic dialysis care.
Furthermore, the center houses a 12-station hemodialysis unit and three modern modular operation theatres. Advanced imaging capabilities include an in-house 32-slice CT scanner and video urodynamics equipment. Meanwhile, surgeons utilize high-precision 100W Holmium and 45W Thulium fiber lasers for minimally invasive stone treatments. Additionally, the hospital plans to introduce a robotic surgery platform soon.
Expanding the AINU Network Across Eastern India
This center represents the eighth clinical facility under the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology banner. Previously, the network established a strong presence across Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Siliguri, and Chennai. AHH aims to expand this footprint to 10 specialised hospitals before the end of the fiscal year. As a result, patients in Odisha and neighboring states can access advanced renal therapies closer to home. Ultimately, decentralized tertiary care reduces travel burdens and improves clinical compliance for chronic patients.
