Novel 30-Plane First-Trimester Ultrasound Boosts Detection

Early evaluation of fetal anatomy has transformed modern prenatal care. Advanced first-trimester ultrasound screening allows clinicians to detect severe structural malformations during early gestation. Importantly, the expanded protocol maintained practical examination times. The mean scanning time for StaFFAUS was manageable for experienced sonographers. As a result, incorporating structured anatomical planes optimizes early anomaly detection without creating an undue clinical burden. Moreover, early detection provides prospective parents with critical diagnostic information, enabling timely genetic counseling and prenatal management.
